The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) yesterday dropped the fraud charges against Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and two former South African Revenue Service (Sars) officials Oupa Magashula and Ivan Pillay. Whilst the news might have been welcomed, the initial move to charge the Minister Gordhan has been met with criticism by opposition parties, as being politically motivated.
