Yesterday, Valkenberg Hospital celebrated 125 years of delivering service to patients who need psychiatric treatment.
Western Cape Minister of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo was there to address the audience, highlighting some important aspects of psychiatry and Valkenberg.
Minister Mbombo also mentioned the challenges faced by psychiatric facilities all around the Western Cape and instantaneously, called on the entire community to curb substance abuse and minimize factors that may intensify or trigger psychiatric dysfunctions.
