Organisers of Friday's planned national shutdown have renewed their appeal to ANC leaders to join their action aimed at persuading President Jacob Zuma to step down. This comes despite the ANC's rallying behind Zuma today after an NWC meeting. Organisers from a number of NGOs have told the media in Pretoria that the protest will go ahead on Friday. The action includes a march at midday to the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
