How fair and accurate is the ANC elective conference likely to be in terms of who it is going to elect as its leader of sentiment in the party? Although the majority of ANC branches have chosen Cyril Ramaphosa as his new leader, the outcome will solely depend on who is in charge of the systems of this organised event. To date the organisers of the event have not yet included all the provinces, and since the number of delegates are unknown, no one really knows what the outcome will be.
On Wednesday Gauteng Chief Justice Dunstan Mlambo has ordered Jacob Zuma to pay the costs of his appeal to have Thuli Madonsela's state capture report set aside and it also means (apparently) that Thuli Madonsela's order that the Chief Justice appoints somebody to oversee that an inquiry in to state capture stands and that Zuma has to step aside and allow that to happen.
