AngloGold impacted by lay-off costs & silicosis provision

The continent's top bullion producer, AngloGold Ashanti posted lower full-year earnings as a result of impairment charges, lay-off costs associated with its restructuring and a provision for the settlement of the silicosis class action claims and related expenditure - which led to a 93% drop in adjusted headline earnings to 9 million dollars.
