District Six Beneficiary and Redevelopment Trust reacts to expropriation of land, without compensation

Earlier this week the National Assembly voted in favour the expropriation of land, without compensation. The motion was proposed by the EFF, and accepted by 241 votes, to 83, with the DA, the Freedom Front Plus, Cope, and the ACDP, voting against it. The decision will now be referred to the Constitutional Review Committee, which must report back to Parliament, by the end of August.
