Analysis: Increase in violent public protest

Violence erupted in Gugulethu for a second time in recent weeks which caused major disruptions in the area. The protest occurred earlier this week after more 50 shacks were demolished. The homes which were thrown down were reportedly that of The Gugulethu backyarders, who recently setup informal dwellings on vacant land along Steve Biko Drive
