Human settlements meet with residents

Community members from Mitchells Plain and Siqalo Informal Settlement met over the weekend in a bid to bring some normality back to the area. Residents of the Rondevlei community took to the streets in protest against the destruction caused by Siqalo residents on Tuesday night. The meeting this weekend is part of a plan to establish a community-led working committee to address grievances which led to the violent protests. Breakfast Beat spoke to MEC Bonginkozi Madikzela
