A recent study released by the UCT’s Children’s Institute revealed that physical abuse of children is costing South Africa billions.
The study "Birth to Twenty Plus" (BT20+) conducted with more than 2000 children in Soweto, Johannesburg, from birth to 22 years old – revealed that 99% of in the study n have been exposed to some form of direct or indirect violence over their lifespan.
