
City reduces water tariffs from 55% to 10%

A few months ago when Mayor Patricia de Lille’s proposed increases to the water and sanitation charges there was a hug public uproar.
The City then allowed the public to submit comments on the budget and the response was overwhelming with more than 50 000 people having their concerns over the increases including the proposed 55% water tariffs increase which has now been reduced to 10%
