Earlier this week the mother of the young woman from Kuils River, whose body was found on a farm in Wellington in the Boland confirmed that the man arrested in connection with Chantelle Ma-thys-sen’s death promised to arrange for her to get a job. The 21-year-old was last seen leaving her house on the 23rd last month to go to Wellington. The 47-year-old suspect appeared in court yesterday

Now while the matter is still being investigated, the incident highlights the need to create more awareness on the dangers of human trafficking. This includes education on risk posed to people seeking job opportunities
