Conflicting reports on motivation behind violence in Blikkiesdorp

Order has been restored in the Blikkiesdorp following the recent fire which gutted 20 informal dwellings and the death of a 20-year-old male who fatally assaulted in the area.
Since the incident occurred we have received conflicting reports about the violence being started due to racial tension between community from Blikkiesdorp and the neighbouring informal settlement. While other reports attributing it to the ongoing crime and gangsterism.
