
Tensions flare in Bishop Lavis during shootout between Police and gangs

Yesterday the Bishop Lavis Day Hospital was temporarily closed following a shootout between police and gangsters in an area commonly known as Kriefgat, near Bishop Lavis. Some roads were also blocked with burning tyres and vehicles set alight.
The shooting was allegedly sparked by rival gangs from Kriefgat and Valhalla Park.
