Yesterday Patricia de Lille stepped down as the mayor of Cape Town — and as a DA member to make way for Minister Dan Plato who will officially be sworn into office later today.
De Lille has since filed papers at the Western Cape High Court to challenge the Bowman Gilfillan report allegedly implicating her of fraud and maladministration during her term as mayor in the City of Cape Town.
Seven members has also recently resigned from the Democratic Alliance due to alleged racism and discrimination within the party.
