Launch of anti-gang unit in the Western Cape

On Friday President Cyril Ramaphosa and Police Minister Bheki Cele officially launched the anti-gang unit in Hanover Park. This follows ongoing protests action by the communities in the Western Cape calling for additional policing resources to address crime and gang violence on the Cape Flats .
Various key figures were in attendance including Western Cape Police Commissioner, Khombinkosi Jula, National Police Commissioner, Kehle Sitole, Western Cape Premier elect, Alan Winde, and Premier Helen Zille.
