Judge Thami Makhanya

Judge Thami Makhanya was appointed part-time commissioner to the Electoral Commission shortly before the 2011 municipal elections in May. Having practised as an advocate at the Johannesburg Bar for 10 years, he was appointed as a judge of the Transvaal Provincial Division in 1999. He is currently a judge of the South Gauteng High Court. He also held acting positions on the Venda High Court and the Namibian High Court. He spoke to Jenny about his love of art.
