D6 land restitution matter heads to Western Cape high Court today

Today the first court hearing of the land claims case between D6 working committee and the Government of South Africa will be heard at the Western Cape High Court.

This following the application by the District Working committee in May this year, against the SA government for alleged failure to complete the land restitution process for District Six claimants. This includes more than 2 000 members represented by the committee including all land claimants for restitution between 1995 and 1998.
