Legal or not - ConCourt ruling on physical discipline by parents

The Constitutional Court will today be handing down the judgment in the appeal against the ruling by the Johannesburg High Court which declared the act of parents disciplining a child in the form of physical correction, regardless of the severity – as unlawful.

This following the Freedom of Religion South Africa (FOR SA) filing an appeal against the High court ruling, which implicates families who use their religious beliefs as guidance for parenting techniques.
