The first “crutch runner” to complete the Two Oceans Marathon Ipeleng Khunou from Rustenburg was born with a brain deformity called Speto Optic Dysplasia which impacts his balance and means he has to walk with crutches. khunou broke the Internet this year when he completed the Old Mutual Two Oceans Half Marathon on crutches since then, Khunou has become a disability ambassador running road races around the world to raise money for the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund and awareness for people living with disability.
