CoCT advances sale of Salt River Market Site to Communicare

Last week the sale of the Salt River Market site to Communicare, received a mixed reaction after The City of Cape Town agreed, "in principle", to sell the site for 10% of its market value, which stands at one hundred and fourteen point three million rand. With the development agreement set to be drawn up and presented for council approval. If development agreement received the thumbs up, the process for the development of 820 affordable housing units will commence.
