As you may know the Cape Town Street Parade commonly reffered to as the Kaapse Klopse is a major attraction on the calendar. This is partly due to the big crowds of people heading to the Cape Town CBD to watch the different ministrel groups perform.
As is the case with any big event, challenges are bound to occur such as the recent complaints received by The City of Cape Town regarding public usage of toilets during the street parades. This includes recent concerns over the past weekend before the main event of the Tweede Nuwejaar parade whereby public allegedly disrupted proceedings at some masjids after they accessed the toilet facilities at some of the local mosque in Bo-Kaap and surrounding areas.
