Families who lost their loved ones, allegedly at the hands of Wouter Basson and apartheid-South Africa’s chemical and biological warfare programme, will be attending his appearance before the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in Pretoria today. Closing arguments are expected in the matter around his professional conduct. Wouter Basson dubbed Dr Death for leading the chemical weapons programme during apartheid.
