The role of the SGB in the appointment process of teachers

Tania Wessels was recently fired from Mondale High School after complaints that she allegedly introduced occult practices in the classroom was lodged. Wessel has denied the claims that she exposed her pupils to satanism. Its is believed the 29-year-old was merely teaching her pupils ancient Egyptian history however learners complained that her lesson were unrelated to the curriculum and that she was speaking about her personal life. The Western Cape Education Department's confirmed that Wessel was fired following an investigation by the principal. Wessels plans to appeal her dismissal.
