(About time, I hear some respectfully green citizens of the World murmuring…)

The rich and powerful and corporatized and powerful and political and powerful and scientific and powerful people have been meeting in Davos for the annual snow –and--ice circus. And if that sounds like sour grapes because I could not afford a R500 hamburger let alone the airfare, it’s not meant to be. Actually, the elite movers and shakers at Davos seem to have got the message that you can hear on Being Green any Friday, and that is: sustainability, responsibility, doing the right thing by the planet, and just generally being nicer to people and animals – and plants.
Prince William took on the role of media worker as he interviewed Sir David Attenborough before the world’s A-list decision-makers. This to open the World Economic Forum annual meeting. And what the WEF focuses on usually sets the tone ahead of other think-tanks, and highlights global themes before they get taken up by other heavy economic hitters and political scene-setters.
