Madrassa Taliya calls on CoCT to renew lease agreement

As you may know the parents, learners and educator of Madrassa Taliya held a picket outside the premises earlier this week against the possible closure of the madrassa. This comes after the City of Cape Town informed the organisation that their lease agreement would not be renewed. The madrassa has since been given a 6 months grace period to stay at the premises after the lease expired in January 2019.
I spoke to Yusuf Khan Delwai a member of the Madrassa Taliya and filed the following report.
