
South African Aviation Authority (SACAA) shocked by SAA pilot license incident

The recent discovery by SAA revealing that a senior pilot had flown internationally with a fraudulent license has many surprised. This after William Chandler's a senior pilot with SAA for more than 20 years was caught out after a recent probe into an incident on a flight in November from OR Tambo International to Germany.
The South African Civil Aviation Authority are investigating the incident and while the ariline service confirmed that it has laid criminal charges against the former pilot and wants the pilot to pay pack millions-of-Rands for the false claims regarding his qualifications.
