ENERGY CONTINUES TO GRAB THE HEADLINES
In a week where we all got hit in the pocket with fuel-price hikes, and spent the time nervously glancing out of the corners of our eyes for the next un-announced load shedding event, I suppose it’s not surprising that the enduring energy crisis took centre stage – again.
Certainly in the UK it was big news, despite all the shenanigans around the long-running comedy series Brexit.
A deal confirmed between the UK government and the wind industry will ensure 30% of electricity comes from offshore windfarms by 2030.
The move will help the UK towards an aim of securing almost all its power from low-carbon sources by 2030.
