Attack on eyewitness home forces family to flee Mannenberg

We recently highlighted how many families on the Cape Flats have not found closure for the murders of loved ones killed in gang crossfires. Which is partly due to lack of evidence as well witnesses not coming forward to testify in court cases out of fear of being intimidated or killed.
Its something a Cape Flats community activist experienced first hand when gangster opened fire on her home. This follows her decision to provide evidence as a state witness in the murder trial for Angelo Davids at the Cape High Court. Davids was fatally wounded after he was stabbed in July 2016 in full view of residents.
