Terblanche was trained as a Counselor through The Academy of Modern Applied Psychology (Achology) in the United Kingdom, he also obtained his Hypnotherapy qualifications through Achology. Apart from his studies at Achology, Terblanche also holds a Diploma in Psychotherapy from the KEW Training Academy (UK), a certificate from the American Board of Neuro-Linguistic Practitioners as Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner, together with a Master’s Degree in Fine Art from the Tshwane University of Technology. His thesis for his dissertation was titled “A Jungian Analysis of artworks created by a creatively active cohort of persons suffering from Schizophrenia”. During his Master’s degree studies, Terblanche worked with individuals suffering from Schizophrenia in a psychiatric institution. His thesis was endorsed and approved by the Gauteng Department of Health and Social Services.
Terblanche has published in national and international publications on art therapy as well as fundamentalism in religion.
Terblanche is registered with CTAA (Complimentary Therapist Accredited Association – UK) as well as the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology in the UK as a Counselor.
