Several Palestine banners - produced by South African trade unions, student groups and youth organizations - were spotted at last week's memorial for Nelson Mandela in Soweto. One of the banners, a tribute to Mandela's internationalism and support for the Palestinian struggle, displayed an iconic image of Nelson Mandela with fellow Palestinian late leader, Yasser Arafat.
