
Imam Abdullah Haron’s arrest commemorated 50 years later

Over the next few months the The Imam Haron foundation will host a range of events to commemorate the 50th year after the passing of Imam Abdullah Haron who was arrested on the 28th May 1969. Imam Haron was held incommunicado for 123 Days at various police stations, but mostly at the Cape Town Central Police Station, then known as Caledon Square Police station, where he was interrogated, beaten and tortured, until his death on the 27th September 1969.
