We are back with our Weekly Africa report and this week we focus on Sudan as well as the post election protests in Malawi. Since the ouster of president Omar al Bashir in Sudan, the Transitional Ruling Council (TRC) has refused to hand over power to civilian leaders. In Malawi, backers of the opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) allege their leader Lazarus Chakwera was robbed of victory in the May 21 elections. Nigeria and South Africa also went to the polls in May. On line is regular guest and Managing Consultant at Democracy Centre in Zambia Chris Zimba. Follow him at afrodemocracyjournal.com.
