1000 SAPS recruits to be deployed in Western Cape

During a meeting in Cape Town the National Minister of Police has heeded a call by the the Western Cape Government to alleviate crime in the province and plans to deploy 1000 newly trained recruits to the province. Minister Cele also expressed his willingness to engage further on the proposals made by the Western Cape Government to ease up the work of police and in particular the funding which was made available by the Western Cape Government in the amount of R5 million.
