So for quite a while, concerns have been raised about the Zandvliet Waste Water Treatment Works discharging sewage into the lower Kuils River and the fact that this is both an environmental and health hazard. Now earlier this week, the City of Cape Town announced a R1.7 billion upgrade of the Zandvliet Wastewater Treatment Works. What is the potential impact of this?
