'Alternative livelihoods' project to help under threat fishermen

So as we know, its very difficult for our local fishermen to make a living these days because of all the fishing rules and regulations and the monopoly of corporate interests.

But here’s an interesting project. The Fisheries Aquaculture Development Institute (Fadi) is to establish an “alternative livelihoods” project to help provide new skills to local fishermen who depend on fishing the oceans. The project will be funded by the SA International Maritime Institute (Saimi).
