The short documentary Unseen War, which tells the story behind America’s secretive drone attacks in Pakistan, will be shown at the Labia Theatre on Orange Street in Cape Town at 6.15pm on today. Unseen War explores the physical, moral and political invisibility of US drone strikes in Pakistan’s tribal FATA region through the eyes of journalists, activists and experts. What are the consequences of these strikes, what is the technology that makes them possible, and how can they be exposed to public scrutiny using data and visualisation tactics? To tell us more on this is Fath Bosworth a Tactical Tech Programme Coordinator visiting from Berlin.
