
Development in Simon Town raises concerns on protection of heritage sites

The following story is a rather interesting one as a property developer has earmarked a historical burial site for the construction of a block of flats. However construction work has been halted for the removal of human remains believed to be close to 300 years old dating back to the time of the Dutch Colony. Residents are dissatisfied with the lack of public consultation.
