Alleged rape suspect in protective custody

A Mitchells Plain man allegedly linked to the rape of a one year old child has been placed in protective custody until the DNA results are completed by forensics investigators. The 57 year old is believed to have previously served jail time for sexual assault and residents are outraged by the incident and has since lobbied behind the family.
