Jérémy Labelle, who is best known simply as ‘Labelle’.
Born in France to a Réunionese father and a French mother, Labelle moved to Reunion island in 2011 to further develop a sound he dubs “Maloya electronica” - an amalgamation of synthetic and acoustic sounds, blending ancient tradition with modern technology.
His latest album, Orchestre Univers, is an opus - was performed by the Orchestre Regional of Réunion Island, conducted by Laurent Goossaert.
