Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi is consulting with different stakeholders on a new marriage policy for the country with a view to creating one single consolidated marriages act. Last week, Minister Motsoaledi engaged with religious leaders in a bid to understand the religious implications. Of course, muslim marriages are not recognised in South Africa, so how this will affect Muslims will be interesting to see.
