Weekly Africa Report

In this weekly world economic report, we look at the agreement that was struck between US and China to roll back tariffs if a broader phase one trade deal is agreed, though sources say there is fierce opposition from some in the White House. Meanwhile, South Africa is hosting an Africa Investment Forum, aimed at stimulating intra-Africa trade and investment. As South Africa tries to woe investors, national carrier SAA has indicated it plans to get rid of almost fifth of its workforce through a restructuring process.
