Yesterday marked the start of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against women and children and it seems as though this year, the 16 days is going be a lot of more meaningful– given the increased awareness around GBV this past few months. Over the weekend, Mayor Dan Plato made a big announcement that he’s allocated R2 million to set up teams in Cape Town’s vulnerable communities to deal with GBV.
