In this week's Africa report, we go to Namibia where the country heads to polls today in a tight election with more than 1.3 million people registered to vote. Disaffection, especially among jobless youth, has fuelled support for Panduleni Itula, 62, who is seen as a major challenger to incumbent president Hage Geigbo, 78. In Mauritius, the African Union has called on the UK government to hand back the Chagos Islands that was seized in 1965. The International Justice Court (IJC) has ruled in favour of the African country, an order yet to be honoured by the British government. On line is Managing Consultant at Democracy Centre in Zambia, Chris Zimba. Follow him at www.afrodemocracyjournal.com.
