Joburg based Islamic broadcaster Channel Islam International (CII) was meant to appear before the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of SA today, following a complaint lodged by the South African National Halal Authority. SANHA is objecting to comments allegedly made by Mufti Abdul Qader Hussein on his QnA show that Rainbow Chicken was not halal. It’s a contentious issue that dates back to 2008, which has divided the ulema.  VOC news editor Tasneem Adams spoke to Sanha’s Mufti Mogammad Yusuf Seedat about the matter
