Things certainly developed quickly after our interview on the goings-on at ENCA yesterday. New developments this afternoon that eNCA has axed its Director of News Kanthan Pillay with immediate effect. This follows outrage and condemnation after a tweet he posted saying "rats are swimming toward a sinking ship" – in response to journalist Samkele Maseko leaving for SABC News. This whole saga is set against the backdrop of reported censorship and political interference at ENCA
