Umrah fraudster Fasiegh Adams arrested

Although the circumstances surrounding an arrest last week was not quite what we had anticipated, many were pleased when a local operator was apprehended for fraud. Imam Fasieg Adams has been at the centre of a hajj and umrah scandal for a number years, with some of his alleged victims planning legal action. According to reports, Adams was taken in on Friday, over fraudulent CellC contracts to an estimated value of R50 000. Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk confirmed the news, saying the 56-year-old is expected in the Wynberg Magistrate court today.
