WC Police Ombudsman to Investigate: SAPS inability to provide adequate Victim Support Services at Police Stations

It has come to light that a Non-Governmental organisation has laid a formal complaint to the WC Ombudsman alleging the SAPS’s inability to provide adequate victim support, as prescribed in the victim Empowerment Program (VEP) of the South African Police Service, to members of the community who are victims of crime.
