or today's Art Report, Kaya FM's Katleho Sekhotho visited a pop up stand at the Rosebank Mall Sunday Market - yesterday.
The pop up stand was led by organizers of a new platform called 'I'm for the Arts'.
The tag line for the movement is 'Artists lives matter'.
The organizers of the event hope to spread the word among artists and all South African's to push government to take the arts sector more seriously.
The movement is calling for legislation and policies which protect artists and prevent gatekeepers and bosses from using exploitative measures in how they manage artists.
Kat spoke to one of the organizers, Lerato Thooe as well as theatre actor and creative Msuthu Makhubalo.
