The ANC and its Alliance partners have rejected finance minister Tito Mboweni's plan to approach the IMF for financial bailouts. In a joint letter to president Ramaphosa, the alliance said the move underscores the country's sovereignty. On line is political science lecturer at UNISA Professor Dirk Kotze.
