In a bid to assist the blow for those struggling to make ends meet, Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Minister Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma amended lock down regulations last week to allow informal traders to trade. They can only do so under certain conditions and with a “lock down” permit. SA Informal Traders Alliance (SAITA) is meanwhile calling on government to provide hawkers with a R3000 stipend.
